Project Description
This project was carried out to allow the relocation of the Cemex Concrete Plant from Alexandra Dock to Albert Dock in Hull to make way for the new Siemens Plant. Works included the diversion of the existing main dock access road South by 20m, the new road was constructed over a distance of 180m long overall including sweeping bends across and back to the original road. All services under the existing dock road were also diverted under the new road including Foul and Surface Water drainage, water mains, electrics, with ducting cable pits including the installation of new street lighting. An existing warehouse was demolished and the area for the new Cemex site was completely cleared of all hardstandings, roadways and railway tracks, and all redundant services, and left ready for their relocation.
